Yesterday, I went to a meeting in Las Vegas for the Southern District of the Nevada Library Association. (I went not only because I've agreed to be the Secretary/Treasurer for the District, but also because the meeting was held at Marie Callender's! I brought a whole cheesecake back for the staff...who I assume will share ;)
They have some great staff training programs coming up. I'm especially excited for the "Best of the Best - Young Adult Services" program that's coming up in February. I'd like to do more for the teenagers who use the library, and I think this program will give me some great suggestions as to things we can do. (Although, if you think of an idea before then, you're always welcome to stop by my office and tell it to me.)
